I purchased a Magic Chef chest freezer in Nov, 2015 and the compressor locked up in December,2016 and ruined several hundred dollars worth of food. Magic Chef refused to warranty the freezer because it was over 12 months old (by one month) but will replace the compressor but not cover the labor.

I would need to deliver the freezer to an authorized service center,pay to have it checked and pay to have the new compressor installed and have freon replaced. It will be less money to buy a new freezer!!

Beware of this company's poor quality,poor warranty and poor customer service. Bad company,bad company,bad company!!

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $350.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

As expected, Magic Chief completely ignored my situation. Another mega company screwing the little guy!

Hopefully my negative review will cost them in lost customers and lost revenue. These companies just don't get it.

Help your customers and you will win new customers. *** them off, you lose them.
